BABY BOTTLE BOOMERANG

Starting this Sunday, May 20th, we will have baby bottles available in the lobby so that you may participate in the Baby Bottle Boomerang.

This is an easy and fun way for ANYONE to help those facing an unexpected pregnancy by donating their spare change to the ministry of Options Now, formerly known as the Pregnancy Support Clinic.

Simply pick up a bottle and fill it with your loose change or dollars and return it to the church by Sunday, June 17th.

$40.00 = 8 Bibles for Clients
$100.00 = 2 Abstinence Presentations for Youth Groups

The cost is $150 per camper and $75 for counselors.

• Air conditioned lodging (separate cabins for boys and girls)
• 3 meals and 3 snacks daily
• All water sports and games

Volunteers are also needed in all areas. Pick up a camp brochure at the Media Center or Information Booth and register today.

I just want to take the time out to say Thank you for helping my mother put together a care package for my husband and I.  We really do appreciate it.  It was enough for us and enough for our soliders.  It really put a smile on their faces.It’s great to know that there are people out there who really care about the soliders defending our country.  On behalf of the soliders of the 5th Battalion, 52nd Air Missile Defense, we say Thank You!

SCHOOL OF EQUIPPING AND EMPOWERING

SESSION 2

Join us this Thursday, May 10th, at 7:00 PM for this school of revelation, impartation, and activation to move in the things of the Spirit.

The Lord is opening up spiritual things and extending to us an invitation to come. This is the second of three six-week sessions taught by Prophetess Penny Gibbs.

If you weren’t able to join us last week, you are still invited and encouraged to join us this Thursday. There is no age limit on this class so if your teenagers would like to attend with you, please feel free to bring them.

Scripture:  John 20: 1-12 and Matthew 9:27-31.

Introduction:

Everyone has a divine destiny and we are each ambassadors of Christ sent by God.  We must keep our focus on Him and on our purpose and not let discouragement or people get us off target for what God has destined us in the earth.

We are called to change the world.  Jesus needs for the Church to be awake and alive and active.  “A thermometer just takes the temperature; but a thermostat changes the atmosphere.”

Let us pray to be thermostats!

Discussion:

1. Reformation is going on in the Church.  Re-form means leaving things better than when you found it.  What does that mean to you as an individual?  How are you called to “make it better”?
2. Your frustration is a gift of God.  How is it a gift?  How do you know whether the frustration is flesh or a divine frustration?
3. The that true Gospel (the pure Truth of the Word of God) confronts, challenges, cuts and heals you.  What does that mean?
4. God always sends an announcement before He sends the promise.  Can you think of a time in your life where God spoke something into your spirit and then it came to pass?

ATTENTION LADIES!

Southland LIST will be holding a special brunch on Saturday, May 26th that will focus on showcasing products appealing to women.

If you have a business and your product’s target demographic is women, we’d love you to display, sell, and possibly demonstrate your product at our May brunch.

April is Autism Awareness Month.  In 2011, Easter Seals Southern Georgia provided a variety of services to 340 Lowndes County residents with autism and other developmental disabilities.

Megan’s House in Valdosta is one of three children’s respite houses south of Atlanta for children who have developmental disabilities, autism or are medically fragile.

To become an “Angel of Change” you are invited to attend an open house at Megan’s House on May 6th from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM at 1714 Williams Street or visit the website.
